Job Summary

The Administrative Specialist Lead serves as a key team member in the Gyn Oncology clinics, responsible for coordinating patient care and ensuring smooth operations. This role requires a high level of organization, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient scheduling, insurance authorizations, and test/procedure scheduling
  • Provide pre- and post-operative educational materials to patients
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure efficient patient flow and minimal wait times
  • Supervise and train practice support staff, including selection, training, and performance review
  • Develop and implement action plans to improve operational efficiency and customer service

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in patient care coordination, preferably in OB/GYN
  • General knowledge of disease processes and patient treatment modalities
  • Knowledge of office procedures, including scheduling and phone procedures
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with physicians, residents, and staff
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting, communicate clearly with patients and staff, and maintain confidentiality.

Salary Range

$22.03 – $43.68 Hourly
