We are in search of a seasoned professional to lead our strategic communications and media efforts. As the Head of Strategic Communications and Media, you will oversee a talented team and offer expert guidance on communications strategies across various DEECA portfolios, including Agriculture, Resources, and Water Management. This is an opportunity to play a crucial role in a vibrant and innovative department.
Candidate Profile:
To excel in this position, you should possess:
- A degree in Communications or a related field is essential. Additional postgraduate qualifications and a solid understanding of government operations will be advantageous.
About Our Division:
The Strategic Communications Division is tasked with enhancing and safeguarding DEECA's reputation while promoting initiatives that benefit the Victorian community and the environment.
Our team provides strategic insights and support on media relations, marketing, and both internal and external communications to effectively position DEECA and deliver informative, data-driven content to stakeholders, the media, and the public.

This is a fixed-term role with flexible work arrangements available within Victoria.
