Job Title: Cloud Network Security Engineer, Senior

As a Senior Cloud Network Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing, securing, and overseeing cloud environments. Your responsibilities will include system hardening, patch management, and vulnerability assessment. You will act as a liaison between Department of Defense stakeholders and technical teams, crafting innovative solutions for intricate challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Over 4 years of experience in securing cloud environments and applications, particularly within AWS GovCloud.
  • Proficient in centralized logging, boundary protection, Palo Alto Firewalls, system updates, role-based access control (RBAC), Identity and Access Management (IdAM), Zero-Trust Architecture, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Capable of breaking down complex issues and use cases for both external stakeholders and internal teams.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Must possess a Secret clearance.
  • Ability to achieve DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III Certification within 6 months of employment.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in enterprise-level security, including domains, Domain Name System (DNS), group policy objects, or single sign-on solutions.
  • Familiarity with Splunk or other Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
  • Knowledge of Ubuntu, RHEL, and Windows Server operating systems.
  • Understanding of Authority to Operate and DoD Cloud Security Requirements Guide (SRG).
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering is advantageous.
  • AWS Certification is a plus.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.

Compensation Structure:

Booz Allen establishes salary based on various factors such as education, skills, experience, and geographic location. The anticipated compensation range for this role is $84,600.00 to $193K annually.

  • If remote or hybrid, you will work from Booz Allen or client locations.
  • If onsite, you will collaborate in person with colleagues and clients as necessary.
