Role Summary

RedMatter Solutions is on the lookout for a seasoned Azure Cloud Architect to enhance our innovative team. This fully remote position focuses on the design, execution, and oversight of Azure cloud infrastructures tailored to fulfill the business and technical needs of our clientele. In this role, you will utilize your deep expertise in Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and various Azure services to facilitate cloud adoption and optimization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud Architecture Development: Create and deploy scalable, secure, and dependable cloud architectures on Microsoft Azure, ensuring alignment with industry standards and organizational goals.
  • Management of Azure AD: Architect and oversee Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) solutions, implementing robust identity and access management (IAM) protocols, single sign-on (SSO), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Implementation of Cloud Solutions: Spearhead the rollout of Azure-based solutions, including virtual networks, virtual machines, cloud services, storage, and databases, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems.
  • Performance Enhancement: Monitor and refine cloud resources to achieve cost-effectiveness, high availability, and peak performance. Develop strategies for scaling and automating cloud infrastructure.
  • Security and Compliance Assurance: Guarantee that cloud solutions comply with security best practices and relevant regulatory standards. Implement security measures such as network security groups (NSGs), encryption, and threat detection.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Produce detailed technical documentation, encompassing architecture designs, configuration specifics, and operational protocols. Generate reports on system performance, security status, and compliance metrics.
  • Collaboration: Engage with cross-functional teams, including IT, development, and security, to ensure alignment with organizational policies and project objectives. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to colleagues.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and Azure services.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions.
  • Strong grasp of cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, ARM templates, or similar tools.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot complex challenges.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a remote team setting.
  • Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are advantageous.
