Role Summary:

The primary role of the Retail Associate is to uphold our mission of being the most supportive hardware stores globally. Each team member is encouraged to create a positive impact on our customers. A friendly, enthusiastic, and encouraging demeanor is crucial.

  • Deliver exceptional service to every customer.
  • Welcome customers as they enter the store.
  • Respond to phone inquiries with a warm greeting.
  • Stay informed about all promotions and marketing materials.
  • Efficiently process transactions at the cash register and manage cash flow.
  • Keep the checkout area organized and well-stocked.

Qualifications:

Availability for evenings and weekends is required.

  • Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong desire to learn.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs.
  • A dedication to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong communication skills, exceptional organizational abilities, high attention to detail, and capacity to multitask.

Physical Requirements:

The essential physical requirements for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Move and handle merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which involves lifting and performing various tasks.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to hear, understand, and communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to bend, twist, push, pull, stoop, and kneel.

Compensation: $16.50 to $17.50/hour based on education and experience.
