Position Overview: Center Associate at The UPS Store

We are looking for committed individuals eager to embark on a long-term career path, starting from the ground up. Our organization is dedicated to providing comprehensive training for those who are enthusiastic about learning and taking advantage of this opportunity.

The ideal candidate for the Center Associate position will have experience in retail sales, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma, a friendly demeanor, a professional appearance, and the ability to quickly understand various aspects of the business.

Note: Candidates must successfully complete a background check to qualify for Notary Public certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in clients and manage phone inquiries
  • Exhibit effective communication skills with customers, colleagues, and management
  • Proactively address customer shipping concerns and offer practical solutions
  • Stay updated on all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
  • Skillfully operate office equipment, software, and devices, and assist others as needed
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and packages
  • Support customers with their shipping requirements, including packing and shipping
  • Maintain attention to detail in all responsibilities
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Strong Computer Proficiency
  • Effective Verbal and Written Communication Skills, including spelling and math
  • Notary Public certification
  • Punctual, Reliable, and accountable
  • Flexible availability, including weekends
  • Able to lift and carry over 40 pounds
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods
