Role Overview:

We are seeking a distinguished financial planning expert to drive new business initiatives and play a vital role within our financial advisory team. Our financial planners are recognized for providing fiduciary advice to our esteemed private client group. Their proficiency encompasses all facets of financial planning, including investment strategies, insurance solutions, and aligning with our clients' short and long-term financial aspirations, ultimately aiding them in achieving financial wellness.

Filling this pivotal position is essential to Sentinel's growth strategy, and the ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence among a select group of elite financial professionals in the industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage and educate retirement plan participants to ensure they comprehend the retirement offerings and make informed decisions.
  • Assist participants in preparing for the financial dimensions of retirement.
  • Facilitate group meetings to communicate the retirement plan offerings at client companies.
  • Conduct one-on-one sessions with participants to address personal inquiries regarding the plan or other financial matters.
  • Host webinars to disseminate information about the plan when suitable.
  • Build and nurture personal relationships with participants.
  • Simplify complex retirement planning topics for better understanding.
  • Utilize consultative selling techniques to drive revenue growth within the assigned portfolio, including life insurance and long-term care products.
  • Support new sales initiatives and market development efforts.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of Sentinel's product features and benefits.
  • Keep supervisors informed of significant activities with assigned clients.
  • Work in an office environment with potential travel requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of ERISA and retirement plans (or a willingness to acquire this knowledge).
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • FINRA Series 6 or 7, 63 and 65 or 66.
  • Life Accident & Health licenses.
Desirable Attributes:
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • CFP designation or interest in pursuing it.
  • Familiarity with financial planning software such as eMoney Advisor.
