POSITION SUMMARY

Oversees, coordinates, implements, monitors, and regulates technical assistance for Back Shop sectors (Structure, Avionics, Interior, and Paint), driving continuous enhancements through process improvements, ensuring outcomes related to all hangar activities, and providing leadership and operational excellence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Reports to the Senior Manager of Technical Support, responsible for technical assistance including Structures, Avionics, Interiors, Engineering, and Paint, while contributing to the development of On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs. Aids in the creation of Support Shop related OJT programs to guarantee all technicians deliver value through their enhanced competencies. Supervises job instruction (break-in) and job monitoring initiatives for all personnel under Technical Support responsibilities. Formulates programs that promote continuous improvement and problem-solving across all employees to ensure that abnormalities and non-conformities are identified and reported through the appropriate channels. Ensures corrective measures are executed. Guarantees the highest quality standards are upheld through adherence to RSMQCM/SOP/ENS. Communicates departmental objectives, company policies, and procedures to employees. Ensures compliance with employment law, work security/safety regulations, and company policies and procedures. Manages productivity (effectiveness/efficacy) and organizational outcomes for the area. Reviews Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accuracy every two years as mandated.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Education:

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical) or relevant Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) experience. Position necessitates a minimum of an Airframe (A) license; an A&P license is preferred.

Experience:

Typically requires 2-4 years of experience in People Management. Experience in overseeing technical support activities related to company products and services.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Proficient in aircraft systems/structures (electric, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, communication, etc.). Capable of statistical analysis. Knowledgeable in aircraft maintenance aspects. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Familiar with statistical techniques. Competent in people management (HR guidelines, tools & policies). Understanding of employment law (sexual harassment, disability, discrimination, labor laws, etc.). Business acumen & competitiveness (managing innovation, customer service, growth, and creativity). Familiarity with Embraer products.

WORKING CONDITIONS / ENVIRONMENT / SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must work in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, and State and Federal regulations. Employees are subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.
