About the Role

At Ford Motor Company, we are dedicated to shaping the future of mobility. Our Supply Chain team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of high-quality components and services globally. This position focuses on the role of a Program Control Buyer for ICE Engine Units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Purchasing Deliverables: Ensure timely and quality delivery of Unit Milestone Deliverables, including Commodity Planning, Target Setting, and Sourcing.
  • Financial Oversight: Support the achievement of Contribution Cost & Investment Targets through accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Material Cost Management: Strive for efficient material cost delivery, aiming for costs equal to or better than previous benchmarks.
What You Will Do
  • Lead weekly Supply Chain Program Reviews and Cross-Functional Team Reviews to ensure timely sourcing.
  • Facilitate meetings for New Tooled End Items (NTEI) and support weekly Program Planning meetings.
  • Conduct Desktop studies to confirm part capacity and carryover.
  • Perform ad hoc studies related to global sourcing, including make vs. buy scenarios and capacity assessments.
  • Monitor compliance with USMCA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Cost Estimating for new contract negotiations.
  • Ensure supplier readiness for volume increases through cost and capacity studies.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a purchasing role within a manufacturing context.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across functions.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills for effective presentations to senior leadership.
  • A broad understanding of new model sourcing impacts on annual TVM delivery.
  • A resourceful mindset with a drive to implement solutions.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Production Buying and Program Control/Execution is advantageous. Familiarity with GPDS timing and deliverables, as well as knowledge of the iERP/Ariba system, is also beneficial.
