Job Description:

Functional Expert- Supply Chain Systems

Location: Henderson, NC

The Functional Expert- Supply Chain Systems will drive process enhancements, either through new systems, additional functionality, or procedure changes that will increase business effectiveness. Represents the plant, supports and assists future system enhancements. Is proactive in initiating improvements. Expert functional support for timely and accurate resolution of SAP blocked IDOC transactions at the site (ZHUGI, ZUGR, etc.). Provides support for monitoring and resolving interface errors between SAP, MES and Red Prairie, such as COGI and C054 errors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures accuracy of site inventory: Complete book to physical adjustments of raws, packs and finished goods as required.
  • Reconcile ration and staging areas. Manage RWRK & FINES areas
  • Correct past due MRP Requirements.
  • Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies in staging locations and surplus WIP staging area
  • Analyze excessive process order variances
  • Correct GR/IR issues. Troubleshoot inbound invoice discrepancies
  • Understand how BOM affects manufacturing conversion; address scrap factor issues as needed
  • Coordinates problem resolution with Global Support Team, other Key users at the site and other sites, and with the Functional Expert, Master Data Team to ensure that problems are resolved quickly.
  • Performs SAP maintenance role, supporting the local implementation of SAP upgrades at the site.
  • Test SAP for the site when there are requests from other global business units for a change to template Ensures user training and provides support for Process Execution, Data & Inventory Control business processes. This includes business process knowledge training, SAP and Red Prairie transactional training.
  • This position requires an in-depth understanding of Manufacturing conversion and Inventory control business processes, and the SAP, MES, and Red Prairie transactions that support the business processes. Backup for NCH Site Scheduler

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science., Controls, Math Sciences, Supply Chain, Logistics or related discipline preferred.
  • Experience with manufacturing conversion and material management in an ERP system (SAP preferred)
  • Understanding of Manufacturing conversion, Inventory, and Inventory Control Business Processes.
  • Excellent math and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; passion for data and accuracy
  • Understanding of how to identify loss elimination opportunities in the supply chain and experience eliminating them
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and independent decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP transactions for manufacturing conversion, material creation, inventory management, and report generation.
  • Working knowledge of Red Prairie transactions at handling unit level
  • Proficient computer skills including SAP, Red Prairie and MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) preferred
  • Good understanding of a broad range of business processes, especially production and distribution of finished goods
  • Experience in managing inventories, BOMs, Recipes, using SAP and MES and/or troubleshooting system transactional errors a plus
  • High degree of initiative
  • Prior experience working collaboratively across organizations
