Position Overview:
QED National is seeking a dedicated Logistics Specialist to support our operations in Vance, AL. This role is integral to the management of our logistics center and the coordination with our contracted logistics providers within the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide operational support to Logistics Service Providers (LSP) during daily production activities.
  • Effectively communicate both general and technical information to and from the LSPs, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with LSPs to meet the objectives of the Supply Chain Operations, Material Planning, and Logistics Center Planning, focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Lead initiatives for problem resolution and strive for maximum inventory accuracy.
  • Develop and implement training methods, monitor exception reporting, and ensure timely and accurate distribution.
  • Prepare planning options for exception handling, evaluating cost efficiency and generating necessary reports.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of LSPs to enhance production support, including scheduling and prioritization of unloads, audits for inventory accuracy, and minimizing downtime.
  • Encourage LSPs to establish and track their own KPIs to support ongoing Continuous Improvement efforts.
  • Escalate potential issues related to shortages, personnel, safety, or other concerns that may affect operations.
  • Participate in project groups or task forces, contributing to the sharing of Lessons Learned and Best Practices.
  • Conduct year-end physical inventories, container counts, and process audits as needed.
  • Be flexible to work across various shifts when required.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Logistics, Warehousing, or Supply Chain Management within the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in SAP and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
