Job Title: Copywriter and Media Specialist

Ohio Dominican University is seeking a highly skilled Copywriter and Media Specialist to join our Marketing and Public Relations team. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive media strategy to promote the university's brand and increase student enrollment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and write marketing and advertising materials for various university offices, ensuring content aligns with the university's brand and image.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and partners across the university to provide marketing communications strategy, editorial support, and creative guidance.
  • Manage and execute a comprehensive public relations strategy for the university, including media relations, crisis communications, and reputation management.
  • Identify and develop compelling print, broadcast, and digital advertisements to promote the university's programs and events.
  • Work with vendors and advertising partners to support university marketing initiatives.
  • Attend staff and committee meetings and other university events as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in the marketing/public relations field, with a proven track record of success in media relations and content creation.
  • Superior writing, organization, and communication skills, with experience in digital marketing and media relations.
  • Proven ability to work well with the media, pitch stories, and achieve media coverage.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and have experience with content management systems.
