Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Associate to join our team at iParametrics LLC in the field of MEPF and building controls. The ideal candidate will have the MEPF and/or building controls technical experience and certifications to provide project-level expertise for MEPF equipment inspections, start-up, and Commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Submittal Management: Request, collect, and catalog submittals from trade partners to ensure timely and accurate project documentation.
  • Project Manual Development: Brand and assemble collected materials for project manuals and reports, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Integration and Collaboration: Integrate with other Facility Solutions and Commissioning Associates to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Systems Readiness and Testing: Review, develop, and coordinate systems readiness and pre-functional and functional performance test drafts to ensure project deliverables.
  • Field Observations: Perform field observations for verification of construction status, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Videography and Training: Coordinate and participate in videography efforts associated with owner training, providing clear and concise project information.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor Facility Solution Associate I and II, providing guidance and support for project execution.
  • Operational Project Readiness: Implement activities associated with Operational Project Readiness (OPR) related to MEPF technical assessment, coordination, and implementation.
  • Contract Document Review: Review contract documents (design drawings, submittals, shop drawings, specifications, etc.) for program/project understanding, constructability, operability, and functionality requirements.
  • Trade Partner Interface: Interface/coordinate directly with associated MEPF trade partners during inspection and testing process, ensuring clear communication and project execution.
  • Commissioning Test Scripts: Assist in the development of Commissioning test/inspection scripts, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Project Scheduling: Review and understand project CPM schedule and Commissioning schedule for proper sequencing of work, ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Document Control: Assist in the management and document control via commissioning software platform, ensuring accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
  • Testing and Inspection: Document MEPF equipment inspections and testing, track and drive issue resolution to support the start-up and commissioning process.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Experience: 2-5 years' relevant work experience in MEPF and/or building controls.
  • Certifications: Certified Commission Professional or Certified Commissioning Authority Certification.
  • Communication Skills: Possess basic written and verbal communications skills, with ability to communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Detail oriented and highly organized, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical Skills: Highly proficient computer software skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to perform identified tasks with minimal oversight, with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
