Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper/Dietary Aide. In this role, you will assist the Cook in the preparation and service of meals, ensuring that quality food service is provided to our clients and residents.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Cook in the preparation and service of meals, following established policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and deliver food and trays, wash dishes, and clean and sanitize the kitchen according to health standards.
  • Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions and follow safety precautions to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Report equipment and cleaning product needs and malfunctions to the supervisor in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure that established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met, and follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures.
  • Provide positive and respectful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Perform routine, repetitive tasks daily, and utilize leadership skills to accomplish responsibilities without supervision.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Specialized training in food service is desirable.
  • Current ServSafe certification is required by State/County law.
  • Food Handler's card is required.
  • Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
  • Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
