Quality Assurance Engineer

MAU Workforce Solutions is seeking a Quality Engineer for a prominent client. In this role, you will adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a secure and healthy work environment. Responsibilities include training new personnel, reporting unsafe practices, and recognizing commendable health and safety efforts. This position is a direct-hire opportunity.
Shift Details:
- 7:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Educational and Professional Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Familiarity with PPAP/Submission process systems or equivalent
- Experience with internal auditing
- Knowledge of OEM specifications, standards, and quality management systems
- Proficiency in AIAG core tools such as FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, APQP, and PPAP
General Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with all levels of staff
- Willingness to undergo ongoing training in alignment with business operations
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand employee rights under OSHA, EEOC, and FLSA, ensuring no discrimination occurs
- Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to promote workplace standards
- Report all incidents or injuries promptly and participate in investigations
- Maintain knowledge of workplace health and safety for staff and visitors
- Collaborate with program managers and engineers to coordinate all PPAP activities, ensuring timely submissions
- Regularly update clients on PPAP status and timelines
- Communicate effectively regarding quality issues identified by clients, which may require travel
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions for quality concerns
- Respond to customer complaints within specified timeframes
- Establish boundary samples with clients for subjective quality assessments
- Assist manufacturing teams in developing Control Plans and Work Instructions
- Engage in cross-functional APQP meetings to address open issues
- Conduct supplier quality system assessments in accordance with ISO/IATF 16949 standards
- Support the Supplier Quality Engineer in reviewing supplier PPAPs and attending trials
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to meet departmental goals
- Perform duties in accordance with the Supplier Quality Manual and ISO/IATF 16949 procedures
- Complete additional tasks as assigned
Physical Requirements:
This role may necessitate the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Ability to stand, walk, or climb stairs for prolonged durations
- Capability to lift weights of up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
Travel Requirements:
- Travel within and outside the US may be necessary
