  • Ensure new equipment meets production and quality standards.
  • Perform capability studies and fulfill APQP and PFMEA requirements.
  • Propose layouts for new equipment installations.
  • Prepare detailed specifications for equipment procurement.
  • Oversee capital purchases as required.
  • Generate engineering reports for process development and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in 5S initiatives to maintain workplace organization.
  • Administer projects related to process changes, including new product introductions.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This role does not include supervisory duties.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with specialized equipment such as vision systems and performance testers.
  • Proficient in CNC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical skills for statistical data interpretation and problem-solving.
  • Technical proficiency in manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems and their nomenclature.
  • Mechanical reasoning and high-level mathematical skills.
  • Ability to interpret part drawings accurately.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Excel, Word, Solidworks, and AutoCAD LT.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Commitment to safety and knowledge of ergonomics and IATF standards.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, with relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in capital procurement and production readiness.
  • Background in troubleshooting automated equipment.
  • Experience in designing fixtures for high-volume manufacturing.
