Role Overview:
  • Prepare patients for their appointments by executing the Advanced Standard room process, which includes documenting the chief complaint, measuring vital signs, reviewing medical history and allergies, and performing thorough medication reconciliation.
  • Assist with in-office testing as required, including blood draws, mental status evaluations, EKGs, walking oxygen studies, and point-of-care testing.
  • Administer vaccines and other injections as permitted within the scope of practice.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments in accordance with office protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and the clinical team to ensure effective implementation and monitoring of care plans.
Qualifications for Primary Care Assistant:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Certification: BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
Preferred Experience: At least 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, ideally in a primary care setting.

Qualifications for Certified Medical Assistant:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Certification: Active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) is necessary. BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications for LPN:
Education: Diploma in Practical Nursing required.
Licensure: Active LPN licensure is mandatory.
Preferred Experience: Minimum of 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care environment.
