Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Early Childhood Service Coordinator to join our team at James River Church. As a key member of our Early Childhood department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Preparation: Assist with setting up rooms, preparing snacks and water pitchers, and ensuring all rooms are stocked and in good repair.
  • Service Oversight: Meet with new volunteers, assign them to rooms for observing/training, and take attendance of all dream team, kids, and staff during each service.
  • Handle Medical, Behavioral, and Parental Issues: Handle medical, behavioral, and parental issues that may arise during services, and keep the campus lead informed.
  • Build Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with parents, volunteers, and coaches, and provide support and encouragement as needed.
  • Communication: Notify the church office and campus lead of all surgeries, special needs, births, deaths, etc., and keep the leader informed of all behavioral, medical, or parental issues.
  • Events: Assist with events such as the Easter Egg Hunt, October 31st Party, and other events as assigned by the leader.
Requirements
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrate strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead well, be outgoing, friendly, and handle confrontation.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervising personnel, coworkers, and the general public.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain a high level of confidentiality in dealing with people.
  • Childcare Policy: Comply with the James River Church Early Childhood Employee Childcare Policy, which requires employees to have childcare arrangements made for all children aged 6 months through 6th grade.
