Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Banquet Houseperson. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of banquet functions, providing exceptional service to our guests, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and maintain the cleanliness and working condition of all equipment and supplies used for banquet functions.
- Report any damages or issues to the supervisor and take corrective action as needed.
- Set up and break down tables, chairs, audio-visual equipment, and other equipment as specified by group requirements.
- Refresh rooms during breaks, replenishing supplies and ensuring a seamless guest experience.
- Retrieve and stock clean linen and skirting in storage areas.
- Pick up and deliver all boxes and materials for functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Basic reading and writing skills, with general knowledge of banquet operations preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Basic math skills, with the ability to ensure accurate setup of tables, settings, and chairs.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
