Job Summary

The John Stewart Company is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Property Manager to join our team. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for assisting the Property Manager in the overall operation of our affordable housing properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resident Services: Interview and screen prospective residents for occupancy, prepare and process leases and rules, and ensure a supportive environment for all residents.
  • Administrative Tasks: Purchase general supplies and services, assist with inspections and monitoring work orders, and perform related administrative duties.
  • Financial Management: Collect rent, prepare deposits, and maintain accurate records according to company policies.
  • Communication: Write warning letters and prepare legal notices to residents, and maintain effective working relationships with onsite support staff.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 1-2 years of property management experience, preferably with Tax Credit properties.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Excellent problem-solving, listening, and deductive reasoning skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
