Field-Based Healthcare Assistants are integral to Artemis Practice Services Georgia LLC, providing essential medical support directly to patients in their own environments. This role encompasses a wide range of vital functions within personalized patient care plans, including both clinical and administrative tasks, patient assessment, point-of-care diagnostics, blood sample collection, and the administration of vaccinations and medications. A strong understanding of Artemis's offerings is crucial for effectively promoting additional services to patients.

This position involves direct patient interactions that profoundly influence their healthcare experience, introducing them to innovative primary care solutions while ensuring a sense of comfort and trust. As a key member of a committed team, the Field-Based Healthcare Assistant plays a significant role in delivering outstanding and thorough in-home primary care to a designated patient demographic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Mobile Health Consultations:
    • Perform comprehensive pre-visit documentation reviews and planning.
    • Travel to various appointment locations (patient residences).
    • Facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients as necessary.
    • Engage actively in patient evaluations.
    • Participate in high-demand patient care initiatives such as immunizations or physical examinations.
  • Patient Preparation and Examination Support:
    • Prepare patients for medical evaluations.
    • Coordinate referrals for routine diagnostic tests and specialist consultations.
    • Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations.
    • Clarify treatment processes and provider instructions to patients.
  • Medical Procedures and Emergency Care:
    • Perform blood draws.
    • Administer injections, vaccinations, and medications under the supervision of healthcare providers.
    • Change dressings, apply bandages, and conduct other first aid measures.
    • Utilize CPR skills when required.
  • Act as a Brand Advocate:
    • Implement grassroots marketing strategies, promote events, and engage in various outreach initiatives.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent healthcare training (e.g., foreign-trained physician, paramedic) is necessary.
  • Certification as a Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare environment is required.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
  • Proficiency in blood draws and injections is essential.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • Strong technological skills are necessary.
  • Ability to navigate traffic safely and endure extended periods of driving throughout the day.
