Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Fiber Optic Network Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fiber optic technologies, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in the field. The successful candidate will be responsible for splicing and testing fiber optic cables, reading and creating schematics and diagrams, and maintaining accurate records of work completed.

Responsibilities:

  • Splice and test fiber optic cables to ensure high-quality connections
  • Read and create schematics and diagrams to visualize fiber optic network layouts
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including splicing and field notes
  • Support project timelines by ensuring timely completion of tasks
  • Inspect and design staking sheets for projects to ensure accurate placement of fiber optic cables

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in the fiber optic field
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft applications
  • In-depth understanding of technology-based services, products, and networking
  • Experience in Project Management a plus
  • ER Troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to work

Work Environment:

  • Required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • 8-hour shift, Monday - Friday
  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and additional hours as needed
  • Travel will be required and may be up to 10% depending on business needs

Employment is contingent on successful completion of a pre-employment screen, to include a drug test and an acceptable driving record. This is a safety-sensitive position.
