Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-service oriented Medical Office Coordinator to join our team at HKB Cosmetic Surgery. This is a full-time opportunity to work in a fast-paced plastic surgery center, providing clinical and business office support to our patients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Support
    • Welcome patients by greeting them, in person or on the phone, and answering or referring inquiries.
    • Prepare patients for the healthcare visit by directing and/or accompanying them to the examining room, providing examination gowns and drapes, and helping them to position themselves for the examination and/or treatment.
  • Clinical Support
    • Verify patient information by interviewing the patient, reviewing and/or recording medical history, taking vital signs, and confirming the purpose of the visit or treatment.
    • Support patient care delivery by helping healthcare providers during examinations, preparing laboratory specimens, performing basic laboratory tests on the premises, and disposing of contaminated supplies.
  • Administrative Support
    • Complete records by recording patient examination, treatment, and test results.
    • Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
    • Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and maintaining supplies.
  • Communication and Confidentiality
    • Educate patients by providing medication and diet information and instructions.
    • Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping patient care information confidential.
Requirements
  • Highly motivated and customer-service oriented individual.
  • Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • 2 or more years of clinical experience in a plastic surgery or dermatology office preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure.
  • Nextech EMR experience preferred.
