PRIMARY FUNCTION: Collect and refine ERP configurations for design documentation, including schematics, operational instructions, and process flows. Validate and verify schematics before production release. The ideal candidate should possess a keen attention to detail, strong organizational capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop component schematics
- Assess Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and propose viable modifications
- Generate revised documents for immediate production assistance
- Maintain design development documentation for new products
- Source appropriate prototype samples and oversee part fabrication
- Retrieve materials from inventory while ensuring traceability
- Determine component lead times to meet production schedules
- Identify new components
- Prepare bills of materials
- Create prototype and production process flows
- Prepare new documentation for production readiness
- Draft and uphold AS9100 Engineering documentation
- Order and manage supplies for Design, Drafting, and Document Control
- Identify analogous parts and assess the impact of modifications
- Evaluate and implement changes to process flows
- Incorporate approved document modifications
- Develop forms as necessary
- Prepare Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to reflect changes from ECRs, revisions, and production requests
- Lead the Change Control Board meetings
- Participate in the Epicor Implementation Team
- Provide Epicor training for new personnel
- Delegate ECO tasks
- Create item master records in Epicor (MRP system)
- Establish new Bills of Materials in Epicor (MRP system)
- Manage Bills of Materials through the ECO process in Epicor (MRP system)
- Oversee numbering systems
- Assign part and drawing numbers
- Maintain original master documentation
- Ensure documentation completeness
- Notify relevant departments impacted by ECO changes
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience required.
- Strong follow-up skills are essential.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to multitask and make informed decisions independently.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting professionally with all levels of staff and management in a diverse environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills along with proficient written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Solidworks, Autocad, EPICOR, Microsoft Access, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, and PDF.
- Able to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines, with flexibility for overtime as needed.
- Capable of handling sensitive information with discretion.
- High energy, proactive problem solver with a robust work ethic.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as required.
