Position Overview:

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Seasonal Saturday hours may be required based on business needs. The work hours will align with the operational hours of the respective time zone.

Reporting Structure:
You will report directly to the Branch Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
  • Enhance branch performance by delivering outstanding customer service and consistently achieving sales and delinquency targets.
  • Assist existing and prospective customers, manage delinquent accounts, and support the manager in daily operational oversight.
  • Contribute to team development by coaching colleagues for improved performance and managing daily administrative tasks effectively.
  • Prepare for increased leadership responsibilities as you progress in your career with Mariner Finance.

Essential Duties:
  • Process credit loan applications and present tailored loan solutions based on customer needs, while actively promoting all available sales products.
  • Reach out to customers with overdue balances to offer solutions and address delinquency issues.
  • Manage a cash drawer, process payments, and ensure timely deposits to designated financial institutions.
  • Meet or exceed individual and branch goals related to the sale of company products and services.
  • Assist the Branch Manager with report preparation as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance within the branch operations.
  • In the absence of the manager, coordinate daily functions and operational matters in communication with the District Manager.
  • Learn and apply Federal, State, and Local Consumer laws to ensure compliant practices.
  • Adapt to additional responsibilities as market demands and branch staffing needs arise.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • A minimum of three years of experience in customer service or sales, with at least two years in the Consumer Lending or Financial Services sector, demonstrating consistent achievement of KPIs. Supervisory experience may substitute for industry experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with customers and company personnel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software, with the ability to learn financial services applications.
  • Ability to perform essential duties accurately and timely.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and project leadership skills, along with interpersonal skills in challenging situations.
  • Must obtain necessary licenses to sell insurance products offered by the branch.
  • Must perform work-related tasks at the assigned branch location, except in emergencies as determined by the company.

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Administration, Economics, or military rank (e.g., E-4, W1, or O1 and above). Additional relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • Possession of required licenses to sell insurance products in good standing.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods, reach with hands and arms, operate computer and phone systems, and communicate verbally. The employee may occasionally need to move about and lift or move up to twenty pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

The hourly rate is commensurate with skills and experience, with eligibility for a competitive incentive program based on individual and company performance.
