Position Objective: To exemplify and ensure exceptional customer service in all facets of the role. Directs and manages the operations of the Starbucks kiosk to meet sales and profitability targets.

Role Summary: As the primary liaison for customers, the Starbucks Operations Manager delivers friendly, courteous, and helpful service. This role is accountable for the department's performance in delivering outstanding service, boosting sales, enhancing profit margins, and managing costs effectively. Adheres to corporate guidelines for executing the merchandising strategy. Updates signage and pricing as instructed by merchandising. Responsible for maintaining adequate stock levels and inventory management. Prepares orders in the order guidebook and inputs them into the system. Verifies order completeness upon delivery. Trains, oversees, schedules, and assigns tasks to barista staff. Prepares coffee and tea using various brewing equipment. Performs tasks to assist in fulfilling customer orders. Cleans and maintains utensils and equipment used in beverage preparation. Processes transactions at the cash register, accepting payments and providing change.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver customer service as defined by the employer within the scope of the position and in accordance with company policy.
  • Engage with customers to resolve issues related to sales, service dissatisfaction, or other department operations.
  • Train, schedule, and supervise barista staff to ensure optimal staffing levels.
  • Provide financial reports to the Store Manager and Field Supervisor.
  • Ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Update signage and pricing as directed by merchandising.
  • Document orders in the order guidebook and input into the system. Confirm order completeness upon receipt.
  • Prepare coffee, tea, and other beverages.
  • Operate the electronic cash register to finalize customer transactions. Accept payments and provide accurate change.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the coffee service area.
  • Set up and maintain product displays in the coffee area.
  • Restock preparation areas from supply storage.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to adhere to company customer service protocols. Previous customer service experience is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
  • Preferred: Previous management experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Barista staff.

Varies based on location and regulatory requirements.

Equipment:

Cash registers, coffee makers, blenders, utensils, and other beverage preparation tools.

Vision and Hearing:

Required for operating machinery, reading indicators, and communicating with customers and staff.
