Overview: EvergreenHealth is in search of a skilled RN to become part of the Nursing Resources Float Pool Team. Candidates must possess experience in Progressive Care and Telemetry Nursing.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver direct patient care while acting as an advocate for patients.
  2. Evaluate the comprehensive nursing requirements of a designated group of patients.
  3. Facilitate the education process for patients and their families/significant others.
  4. Continuously plan, execute, and assess patient care, involving patients and their families/significant others in the process.
  5. Collaborate with physician partners and interdisciplinary team members to create and implement care plans for patients and their families/significant others.
  6. Communicate all pertinent information (e.g., patient details, safety concerns, equipment issues, quality matters) to the immediate supervisor promptly.
  7. Document and relay changes in patient conditions to the charge nurse/supervisor and physician in a timely manner.
  8. Adhere to guidelines regarding attendance, punctuality, and overall reliability. Responsible for effective performance and completion of all assigned duties within agreed timeframes.
  9. Accountable for fulfilling the responsibilities associated with this role in alignment with organizational standards.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required within five years of employment if applicable.
  • Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification by the date of hire.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider ACLS certification by the date of hire.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider PALS certification by the date of hire (for Emergency Department only).

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Nursing.

EvergreenHealth is committed to delivering the highest quality of care to our patients. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is essential for ensuring superior care quality. Therefore, this position mandates a BSN or a commitment to enroll in a BSN program within three years and complete it within five years of employment. Note that this BSN requirement does not apply to individuals with an RN license for twenty or more years or current EvergreenHealth RNs hired prior to a specified date.

This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement between EvergreenHealth and the Washington State Nurses Association (WSNA). Union membership is optional.
