GENERAL OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION

The role of the Bar Back at La Cima Restaurants LLC involves maintaining and supporting all aspects of the bar area and its distinctive drink offerings. Each team member is characterized by a commitment to excellence, high standards, and a disciplined approach to upholding the bar's environment alongside the bartenders.

UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS


• Always wear a clean La Cima black hat with the brim unbent.


• Hair must be tidy and kept under the La Cima hat.


• Must be clean-shaven; neatly maintained beards and mustaches are acceptable.


• Fingernails should be well-groomed and trimmed.


• Jewelry is prohibited in visible areas such as ears, face, neck, or wrists.


• Headphones or earbuds are not permitted.


• A clean, non-faded La Cima kitchen shirt must be tucked in at all times.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Bar Back's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


• Following uniform guidelines


• Adhering to policies that ensure a clean and sanitized bar area


• Keeping workstations and equipment organized and clean


• Ensuring compliance with safety, sanitation, and health regulations


• Collaborating effectively with team members


• Utilizing training tools such as tablets or computers


• Thriving in a fast-paced work environment


• Performing any additional tasks as assigned by management


• Assisting with opening and closing tasks, including restocking supplies and cleaning duties


• Maintaining adequate stock levels at the bar


• Changing kegs and ensuring all taps and equipment are functioning properly

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Previous experience as a Bar Back is required.

LANGUAGE ABILITY

Must be able to communicate effectively in English and comprehend the procedures for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in a restaurant setting.

REASONING SKILLS

Must possess the ability to apply common sense and understanding to execute simple instructions and handle standardized situations with minimal variability.

CERTIFICATIONS AND TRAINING

Attendance at orientation and adherence to company policies is mandatory. Successful completion of the training program is required before working independently. Compliance with all necessary training in accordance with local and state regulations, including food and alcohol service certifications, is also required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands of this position require the ability to stand, walk, and use hands to handle objects and communicate effectively. The Bar Back may need to lift and move items weighing up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and depth perception.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment may involve exposure to kitchen fumes, wet conditions, and cleaning chemicals. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
