About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Peninsula Chicago. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Chef de Cuisine in planning, directing, and controlling the day-to-day preparation and production of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and execution of menus, ensuring high-quality products and exceptional customer service.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and safe food preparation and presentation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the highest quality ingredients and products.
  • Collaborate with the Chef de Cuisine to create innovative and delicious dishes that meet the expectations of our discerning guests.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of culinary leadership experience in an upscale dining environment.
  • Proven track record of success in menu planning, kitchen operations, and staff management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Fluency in English, with additional languages a plus.
