Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at ShopHQ. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in managing store operations to ensure a great customer experience and maximum profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive for Results
    • Demonstrate a customer-centric approach to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
    • Train and model selling skills to ensure a high level of customer service.
    • Develop and execute grassroots marketing activities to build brand awareness.
  • Recruit, Hire and Staff
    • Assess talent and identify opportunities to elevate store talent.
    • Proactively build a talent bench of internal and external candidates.
    • Fulfill open positions within 30 days.
  • Coach and Develop
    • Provide timely feedback, training, and coaching to improve performance.
    • Create a passion for the brand and a desire to improve performance.
    • Hold team members accountable for achieving performance expectations.
  • Brand
    • Be a brand ambassador and have a passion to serve and style customers.
    • Use merchandising techniques to drive sales growth through compelling visual presentations.
    • Organize and lead efforts to maintain a clean and safe store environment.
  • Operations
    • Maintain general store operations and adhere to all operational policies and procedures.
    • Execute corporate directives within designated timeframes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of retail experience, preferably in a specialty store environment.
  • Strong emphasis on customer service and sales skills.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time.
  • Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration.
  • Knowledge of retail math and the application of concepts and daily operations.
  • Ability to operate a point of sale (POS) register system with proficiency.
  • Ability to make bank deposits in accordance with company guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Managers/Assistant Managers are required to work 3 weekends out of the month as business needs require.
