Job Summary

The Assistant Manager, Operations role is a vital part of the store leadership team, responsible for ensuring the smooth and successful operation of our retail business. This position manages business enablers, including financial management, budgeting, and inventory control, to maximize store performance. The Assistant Manager, Operations also oversees the store's weekly schedule, completes administrative tasks, and executes company-driven operations-focused projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations and Product Management
    • Implement the Store Manager's operations vision and cascade it to team members.
    • Plan and prepare the weekly team member schedule according to labor requirements, availability, and budget considerations.
    • Monitor and partner with the Store Manager to manage the budget and other business data and metrics.
    • Provide retail floor leadership to team members, including planning retail floor coverage and making decisions to maintain efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Support sell-through management by ensuring accuracy of inventory counts and coordinating labor hours to efficiently receive product deliveries.
    • Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects, and initiatives.
    • Understand and adhere to people safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Leadership and People Management
    • Create and foster a respectful and inclusive team environment by welcoming and celebrating differences.
    • Perform administrative actions to support team members, including completing payroll, approving vacation and time off requests, and other documentation.
    • Inform people managers of projected team growth needs to support the building of a strong and diverse team.
    • Establish supportive and productive relationships with all team members, focusing on personal and professional development.
  • Guest Experience and Community
    • Facilitate a seamless end-to-end guest experience by monitoring the incorporation of omnichannel programs.
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure an optimal guest experience that values guests' time and supports store operations.
    • Resolve guest feedback and address issues, including guest escalations and urgent requests.
    Requirements
    • 1 year experience managing business operations and administration, including experience with scheduling and management of designated labor hours and managing projects or processes.
