Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach Plumbing and HVAC courses at our institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and contributing to the development of our curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned courses, including Plumbing and HVAC, to students at various skill levels.
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations to ensure student learning outcomes.
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to students, including tutoring and mentoring.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, assessments, and instructional strategies.
  • Participate in departmental and institutional meetings, committees, and professional development activities.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as Plumbing or HVAC, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed Journeyman Plumber or Journeyman Refrigeration.
  • Current New Mexico Licensed Plumber (MM-1) and/or HVAC (MM-3) contractor certification.
  • At least 1 year of experience teaching Plumbing and/or HVAC at the community college level or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching in other areas, such as electrical, green building, and/or weatherization.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills.
