Key Responsibilities
As an Environmental Safety Specialist, you will:

  • Lead initiatives to ensure a secure workplace.
  • Provide direct assistance to production and maintenance teams.
  • Collect and analyze environmental data to report on safety performance.

Essential Functions
Your role will include:

  • Implementing comprehensive safety programs.
  • Offering safety expertise and solutions to management.
  • Conducting safety training and providing tools to enhance safety performance.
  • Communicating safety statistics regularly.
  • Reviewing incidents and guiding root cause analysis.
  • Supporting ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.

Physical Requirements
This position may require:

  • Moving equipment and supplies weighing up to 33 pounds.
  • Operating manufacturing equipment and performing inspections.
  • Standing for extended periods and working in diverse environments.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A High School Diploma or GED; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a safety-focused role.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and experience with root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and emergency management.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
