Position Overview:
As a Senior IT Audit Specialist at CBRE, you will play a crucial role in executing high-quality SOX testing for designated areas, alongside engaging in value-added project initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include identifying and assessing risks to the organization, collaborating with management to pinpoint process enhancements and operational efficiencies, all while adhering to professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct intricate audits utilizing agile methodologies to address the needs of our global operations and service lines.
2. Assist in the daily execution of the SOX program, which encompasses SOX walkthroughs, controls testing, deficiency evaluation, and remediation tracking.
3. Execute IT General Controls (ITGC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) control testing, identifying and testing Key Reports and IT Application Controls (ITACs), while enhancing control testing practices.
4. Perform conversion control testing, determining appropriate Information Produced by the Entity (IPE) and ITACs to mitigate risks, and improving control testing methodologies.
5. Draft audit steps and programs that effectively address risks in special projects.
6. Complete assigned workpapers punctually, documenting at a level of detail sufficient to support conclusions.
7. Facilitate walkthroughs to deepen understanding of systems, controls, and related processes.
8. Model behaviors that align with CBRE's RISE values, leading by example.
9. Simplify complex information for clarity in straightforward situations.

Qualifications:
Applicants must possess current authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate proficiency in the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, with 2-5 years of relevant experience; a combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Preferred certifications include CPA, CA, CISA, or CIA.
  • Experience in SOX or external/internal IT auditing, with knowledge of ITGC, ITAC, and Key Report audit procedures.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of recent experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is required.
  • Ability to understand existing procedures and standards to address moderately complex problems.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate potential solutions using technical expertise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced mathematical skills, with the ability to perform complex calculations.
