Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a variety of accounting, auditing, and tax assignments under the guidance of a supervisor, manager, or partner.
  • Prepare intricate tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
  • Analyze tax-related issues and formulate conclusions.
  • Prepare quarterly and year-end estimates to aid clients in tax planning.
  • Develop proficiency in tax research, utilizing the reference sources available to the firm.
  • Plan, execute, and review various engagements, including compilations, reviews, audits, and agreed-upon procedures.
  • Engage directly with client owners and senior personnel.
  • Oversee multiple client engagements, ensuring effective planning, execution, direction, and completion of external audits across diverse industries while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Provide research and consulting services addressing audit and accounting challenges.
  • Exhibit competency in technical skills, work quality, and adherence to professional and firm standards.
  • Meet deadlines and time constraints set by clients.
  • Possess sufficient technical knowledge to assist junior staff members.
  • Begin developing the skills necessary to foster quality client relationships and loyalty.
  • Participate in training courses to enhance technical skills.
  • Deliver exceptional client service through quality work, prompt turnaround, and attentive support.
  • Research and resolve tax and accounting issues impacting the firm.

Qualifications:

  • CPA certification is required, or candidates must meet most requirements to sit for the CPA exam; preference will be given to those with certification.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required (Master's preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of recent experience in public accounting.
  • Proficient in tax software and MS Office applications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of tax regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a heavy workload.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
