As a Senior IT Audit Specialist at CBRE, you will play a pivotal role in executing comprehensive SOX testing for designated areas while contributing to various value-added projects.
Your responsibilities will include assessing and identifying risks within the organization, collaborating with management to propose process enhancements and operational efficiencies, all in alignment with established professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct intricate audits utilizing agile methodologies to cater to the requirements of our global operations and service lines.
2. Support the daily execution of the SOX program, which encompasses SOX walkthroughs, controls testing, deficiency assessment, and remediation tracking.
3. Implement ITGC and SDLC control testing, identify and evaluate Key Reports and ITACs, and refine control testing methodologies.
4. Execute conversion control testing, pinpoint relevant IPE and ITACs to mitigate risks, and enhance control testing practices.
5. Draft audit procedures and programs that effectively address risks in specialized projects.
6. Complete assigned workpapers punctually, ensuring documentation is detailed enough to substantiate conclusions.
7. Facilitate walkthroughs to deepen understanding of systems, controls, and associated processes.
8. Exemplify leadership and model behaviors that reflect CBRE's core values, fostering collaboration and consensus.
9. Simplify complex information for clarity in straightforward scenarios.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively. The qualifications listed below represent the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities:
1. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, along with 2-5 years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience may be acceptable in lieu of a degree.
2. Preferred certifications include CPA, CA, CISA, or CIA.
3. Experience in SOX or internal/external IT auditing, with a solid understanding of ITGC, ITAC, and Key Report audit procedures.
4. A minimum of 3-5 years of recent experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is required.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
6. Strong organizational abilities coupled with an inquisitive mindset.
7. Advanced mathematical skills, capable of performing complex calculations such as percentages and financial metrics.
