As a Logistics Warehouse Specialist at Pacific Rubber, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. This position encompasses a diverse array of responsibilities essential for the efficiency of our logistics processes. You will engage in tasks such as product packaging, quality inspections, inventory management, and maintaining cleanliness standards, all aimed at supporting our high-quality product offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently package products in accordance with established procedures, ensuring readiness for distribution.
- Conduct thorough quality inspections to detect any defects or inconsistencies, reporting findings to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Participate in regular cycle counts to uphold accurate inventory records and assist with audits as necessary.
- Prepare and clean parts for packaging, ensuring compliance with both PRP and customer cleanliness standards.
- Manage the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, organizing warehouse stock systematically.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely (training will be provided).
- Collaborate with team members to enhance warehouse processes and contribute to operational improvements.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or management.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in logistics or material handling is advantageous.
- Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions with keen attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for precise inventory management and cycle counts.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Strong commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and safety protocols.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings or weekends, as operational needs dictate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Familiarity with operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and initiative to identify improvements within the warehouse.
- Willingness to engage in on-the-job training and educational opportunities to enhance skills.
- A positive attitude and adaptability to changing workflows.
Experience and Education:
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Hourly pay rate: $22 - $24, based on experience.
- Schedule: Onsite, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid meal break.
