Position Overview:

The Logistics Operations Supervisor is responsible for implementing safety protocols, procedures, and work conditions that directly impact employee performance.

This role oversees the immediate work environment and the conduct of all personnel under their supervision. It is essential to effectively communicate all safety policies and procedures within the operation. The supervisor will direct and coordinate activities to ensure a secure environment for employees while delivering prompt and efficient services. This position demands the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with strict time constraints to achieve operational goals. The Logistics Operations Supervisor must consistently present a professional and positive demeanor.Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate monthly safety meetings for all staff members.
  • Conduct audits related to flights, stations, and at-risk behaviors.
  • Engage in monthly safety conference calls with the company.
  • Promote safety awareness among all employees, including new hires.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess manpower needs for group movements and peak travel periods.
  • Oversee recruitment and placement efforts to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including FAA, OSHA, EPA, and EEOC.
  • Investigate and report incidents of aircraft damage or employee injuries, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Manage disciplinary actions that may lead to termination.
  • Coordinate procurement for operational necessities and maintain adequate supply levels.
  • Review payroll and daily hours to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
  • Monitor operational irregularities and document any out-of-scope activities.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with Leads/Supervisors and daily briefings with maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with uniform and appearance standards.
  • Review operational reports for proper dissemination.
  • Investigate service failures, including delays and mishandling of baggage or cargo.
  • Administer operational plans related to safety and efficiency.
  • Complete performance evaluations for supervisory staff and mechanics.
  • Liaise with customer service, airport authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • Address concerns raised by supervisory personnel.
  • Participate in discussions with various authorities regarding operational issues.
  • Attend relevant safety and security meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of Ramp and Customer Service Operations.
  • Minimum age of 18 years with basic computer skills (6 months+) and typing proficiency of at least 35 words per minute.
  • A 4-year college degree in a relevant field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Fluency in reading, speaking, and understanding the English language.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and have reliable transportation.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
