Job Overview

The Finance Operations Supervisor will take charge of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable divisions while providing support to the Accounting Director. This role is essential for fostering team development and ensuring efficient accounting services across various branches and headquarters functions. The successful candidate will engage with colleagues at the Rostock Shared Service Center and the International Accounting Group in Germany, making strong interpersonal and analytical skills crucial for success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable cycle.
  • Manage daily operations of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.
  • Collaborate with the German AP and AR departments to ensure timely booking and clearance of payments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Coordinate with the Accounting Department in Germany for unclaimed property filings.
  • Lead internal audit processes related to the finance department.
  • Monitor and analyze daily invoice processing activities.
  • Generate weekly reports to track invoice processing efficiency and volume.
  • Assist in enhancing departmental operations through the creation of insightful reports.
  • Supervise a growing team of four members and provide training for new hires.
  • Organize quarterly training sessions with other departments to share information and review best practices.
  • Handle annual 1099 filings.
  • Support the Accounting Director with special projects as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience, including at least two years in a supervisory role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, SAP, and invoice processing software.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with leaders across various organizational levels and collaborate with other functional areas such as tax, treasury, and corporate finance.
  • Strong analytical skills for designing and interpreting financial reports and standard journal entries.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages (such as German or Spanish) is advantageous.
