Position Overview
As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in applying accounting principles to assess financial data and generate comprehensive financial reports.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and compute data for journal entries while reviewing the general ledger and associated financial statements for accuracy within established timelines.
- Gather and analyze information for the monthly preparation of financial statements, ledgers, and reports.
- Generate month-end reports and perform reconciliations for insurance entities, including initiating monthly payments to carriers.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations, addressing discrepancies promptly and escalating complex issues to senior personnel.
- Prepare monthly accrual journal entries for various expenses.
- Respond to inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders in a professional and efficient manner.
- Distribute monthly financial reports to relevant parties.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules for annual independent financial audits and liaise with auditors to address inquiries.
- Collaborate with the team to compile consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Aid in the formulation of the annual budget.
- Process expense reports in accordance with travel and entertainment policies.
- Assist in the preparation of corporate tax returns.
- Enter and post journal entries accurately.
- Review accounts receivable collections and follow up as necessary.
- Prepare schedules to support balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
- Calculate and prepare depreciation schedules for fixed assets.
- Mentor and support new staff accountants and peers.
- Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited institution, or a minimum of three years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
- Strong ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with diverse personality types.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other accounting software.
