Key ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will:
- Execute the monthly processing of accruals and the amortization of prepaid expenses.
- Oversee the setup and ongoing management of leases and fixed assets, including depreciation, while recording necessary adjustments and reclassifications.
- Manage accounts payable across multiple entities and vendors, ensuring the receipt, verification, reconciliation, and processing of invoices.
- Maintain meticulous records of vendor transactions and payments.
- Prepare accounting entries based on various source reports, journals, and registers.
- Review and reconcile intercompany expenses to ensure accurate recording.
- Assist in the preparation of detailed reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, including accruals, prepaid expenses, accounts payable, and fixed assets.
- Support the month-end accounting process, including the creation of financial reporting packages and analytical review documents.
- Analyze accounting challenges and devise practical solutions.
- Evaluate information to identify critical issues and develop effective action plans.
- Manage assigned projects by prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines while keeping the Accounting Manager informed of progress and any issues encountered.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, data analysis, communication, and interpersonal skills. A well-organized approach to financial data management is essential. A customer service mindset is crucial for collaborating with less technical team members.
QualificationsTo be considered for this role, candidates should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in similar finance or accounting positions.
- Proficient mathematical and Excel skills.
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and time-management abilities.
- Experience with General Ledger operations.
