**Essential Qualifications**

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience is mandatory, along with a minimum of 8 years of pertinent experience; alternatively, a Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience is acceptable.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:
A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at the time of employment. Selected candidates will undergo a U.S. Government security investigation and must fulfill eligibility criteria for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite due to the nature of work performed within our facilities.

**Key Responsibilities**

In the role of Lead IT Infrastructure & DevOps Specialist (Senior Advanced Systems Administrator), you will act as a primary point of contact for users experiencing technical difficulties by performing systems analysis and development to ensure systems remain updated with evolving technologies. Your responsibilities will encompass the maintenance and enhancement of DevOps infrastructures utilized by various programs at General Dynamics Mission Systems. This includes installing new software, troubleshooting issues, and managing application permissions. You will also oversee the daily operations of server services, executing server administration for both physical and virtual server operating systems, as well as configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting physical and virtual hardware and network interfaces on servers. Additionally, you will conduct OS and vendor software patching on servers and monitor the performance of physical and virtual servers using various monitoring tools.

The Limited Access Area (LAA) - Lead IT Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer serves as the crucial link between our clients and engineering teams. In this capacity, you will assist in defining requirements, architectures, and engineering solutions for our IT systems.

Your Contributions to Our Team:

  • Extensive knowledge of VDI, RedHat Linux, Windows Server, VMware vSphere, and related technologies.
  • Proficient in software tools that support Integrated Development Environments (IDE), version control, defect reporting, and scripting.
  • Expertise in developer tools/concepts/scripting/methodologies/infrastructure such as Jira, Confluence, GitLab, CI/CD, HELM, Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes, Kubernetes Manifests, Ansible, Vault, Python, Powershell, and Bash.
  • Proficient with security tools like Tenable Nessus and Splunk.
  • Ability to define and construct various development, testing, and production environments.
  • Capability to architect, deploy, and maintain secure, reliable, and flexible best practice infrastructures and systems.
  • Experience in implementing Linux/Windows security controls to ensure system compliance.
  • Subject Matter Expert in researching and resolving complex technical challenges.

Additional Information:

  • Applicants must meet DoD certification requirements for IAT-II or higher. Completion of CompTIA Security+ certification is required within 6 months of employment.

Target salary range: USD $126,767.40/Yr. - USD $137,166.30/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
