Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Infrastructure Design and Implementation
    • Design and implement cloud-based infrastructure automation and CI/CD pipelines
    • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Cloud Security and Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to cloud security standards, reference architectures, patterns, and best practices
    • Evaluate and implement security controls to protect cloud-based infrastructure and applications
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with software engineering teams to define infrastructure and deployment requirements
    • Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Cloud Cost Optimization
    • Optimize cloud environments for cost-effectiveness while maintaining performance
    • Develop and implement strategies to reduce cloud costs

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure engineering, software development, or equivalent technical fields
  • Minimum of 4 years of enterprise AWS cloud experience building and maintaining cloud infrastructure
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Harness and DevOps toolchain technologies
  • Proficient in one or more scripting languages (Python, Bash, Ruby, Powershell, or Groovy)
  • Experience with cloud automation templating (CloudFormation or Terraform)
  • Experience with configuration management and deployment automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Salt, or Chef)
  • Experience with log aggregation and monitoring tools (OpenSearch, CloudWatch, Sensu, Prometheus, and APM solutions)
