About the Role

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Insight Global. As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and administering cloud-based infrastructure automation and continuous delivery capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure: Lead the design, implementation, and administration of cloud-based infrastructure automation and continuous delivery capabilities, including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and Site Reliability.
  • Monitor and Analyze Cloud Infrastructure: Oversee, build, and maintain operational tools for monitoring and analyzing AWS infrastructure and systems.
  • Evaluate and Operationalize New Tools and Technologies: Evaluate and lead the operationalization of new tools, technologies, and cloud services.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering: Work collaboratively with software engineering to define infrastructure and deployment requirements and to ensure adherence to cloud security standards, reference architectures, patterns, and best practices.
  • Optimize Cloud Environments: Optimize cloud environments for both performance and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 7+ Years of Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure engineering, software development, information systems, or equivalent.
  • Enterprise AWS Cloud Experience: 4+ years of enterprise AWS cloud experience building and maintaining cloud infrastructure including compute, storage, database, networking, and security related services.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment Tools: 2+ years of experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools such as Harness and DevOps toolchain technologies such as Jenkins, Git, and Nexus.
  • Scripting Experience: Scripting experience - preferably Python.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in One or More Scripting Languages: Proficient in One or more scripting languages (Python, Bash, Ruby, PowerShell, or Groovy).
  • Cloud Automation Templating: Proficient in Cloud automation templating (CloudFormation or Terraform).
  • Configuration Management and Deployment Automation Tools: Proficient in Configuration management and deployment automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Salt, or Chef.
  • Log Aggregation and Monitoring Tools: Proficient in Log aggregation and monitoring tools such as OpenSearch, CloudWatch, Sensu, Prometheus, and APM solutions.
  • Experience in AWS Serverless Technologies: Experience in one or more of the following technology areas required: AWS serverless technologies (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB Event Bridge, Step Functions), Container Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, Fargate) Messaging (SQS, Kinesis, ActiveMQ, Kafka) or Distributed application development (Java or Python, microservices architecture, REST protocols).
  • Key Competencies: Demonstrates key competencies to include Drives Vision and Purpose, Action Oriented, and Communicates Effectively.
