Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot various operating systems including Windows, MacOS, and Linux across multiple departments.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to Microsoft Office 365 applications and their plug-ins.
  • Oversee and maintain news production server systems, content storage, and playout systems, as well as graphics and editing systems.
  • Install and troubleshoot Adobe Creative Cloud software and associated plug-ins.
  • Repair, replace, and install computer hardware components such as hard drives, memory, and peripherals.
  • Conduct backups and restorations on critical broadcast hardware, including high-performance RAID storage systems.
  • Configure and troubleshoot IP networks, some operating at speeds of 10Gbps and higher, with geographically distributed systems and servers.
  • Install and configure network routers and switches in collaboration with Corporate IT.
  • Provide support to multiple local and remote users in a mission-critical environment.
  • Assist the IT Manager with budgeting and planning tasks.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven background in Information Technology and networking skills is essential.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels and across various professions.
  • Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support live news operations.
  • Certifications in Microsoft and Networking are advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent oral and written communication abilities are required.
  • Capability to manage critical situations and lead in resolving issues promptly.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds over a distance of approximately 100 feet. The role may require climbing, kneeling, and crawling. Manual dexterity is necessary for operating keyboards, mice, and tools. A valid driver's license is required for operating company vehicles safely when necessary.
