Job Summary

Illinois Action for Children is seeking a highly skilled Information Technology Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide technical support and assistance to agency end users, ensuring seamless operation of hardware, software, and related equipment.

This role requires a strong understanding of technology and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical assistance and support to agency end users, including hardware, software, and related equipment.
  2. Maintain and support agency hardware and equipment to ensure high-quality performance and identify potential problems.
  3. Assist in user and file administration through Active Directory and Sharepoint.
  4. Monitor and respond to requests for assistance using the Zendesk Help Desk system.
  5. Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining documentation related to technology, policies, and procedures.
  6. Collaborate with other Information Technology team members to promote an effective work environment and culture.
  7. Perform all other assigned, related duties as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and at least two years of related experience preferred, or an associate's degree with at least 3-4 years of related experience.
  • Technical certifications are desirable.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to operate with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel between various geographic locations.
