The Jacksonville Treatment Center is dedicated to delivering personalized counseling, education, and medication-assisted recovery for adults grappling with opioid dependence in a secure, medically sound, and therapeutic setting. Our goal is to empower these individuals to explore, transform, and enhance their lives, enabling them to pursue a healthy and fulfilling existence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • The counselor will conduct Comprehensive Clinical Assessments (CCA), ensuring that clients receive timely and effective access to treatment.
  • The counselor will be tasked with developing the Person-Centered Plan (PCP) and Crisis Plan for each Medicaid/Medicare client, maintaining and updating the plan according to the client's evolving needs and the requirements of Medicaid/Medicare service definitions and LME/MCO.
  • The counselor is responsible for uploading all Medicaid/Medicare-related documentation to the appropriate LME/MCO provider portal.
  • The counselor will research, correct, and resubmit any denied authorizations and re-authorizations.
  • The counselor will monitor each Medicaid/Medicare recipient's eligibility through NCTRACKS on a monthly basis to verify individual Medicaid/Medicare status.
  • The counselor will oversee the submission of CCA, PCP, and claims to the LME/MCO via the designated provider portal.
  • The counselor will compile a precise weekly report of all billable services rendered.
  • The counselor will facilitate Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Programs (SAIOP).

Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree (M.A.) in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field, or an Associate's Degree in Counseling or a related discipline, with a commitment to maintaining LCAS-A or LCAS credentials.
  • Ongoing credentialing with NCTRACKS and the designated LME/MCO is required.
  • Registration with the North Carolina Substance Abuse Board is mandatory, along with the completion of all required continuing education hours to maintain licensure.
  • If in recovery, a minimum of 2 years of continuous sobriety is necessary.
  • Additionally, the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, while upholding a high standard of professional ethics, is essential.
