Posición de Enfermera Registrada a Tiempo Completo en el Departamento de Cirugía de Mama. Se ofrece un bono de firma de $5,000 para nuevos empleados a tiempo completo.

Propósito: La función de la Enfermera Registrada en cualquier línea de servicio de Oncología es aplicar una integración de teoría, investigación, experiencia y conocimiento práctico dentro del máximo alcance de la práctica a través de protocolos, pautas de práctica, caminos de atención y directivas médicas.

Responsabilidades Esenciales:

  1. Brindar atención integral directa mediante la realización de una evaluación de salud exhaustiva y la formulación, implementación y comunicación de un plan de atención de enfermería holístico.
  2. En colaboración con los oncólogos quirúrgicos o médicos, la enfermera crea un plan clínico de atención que incluye quimioterapia, inmunoterapia, trabajo social, imágenes diagnósticas y manejo del dolor, asegurando el seguimiento adecuado y la idoneidad clínica.
  3. Compartir la atención del paciente con el oncólogo a través de una relación complementaria basada en la toma de decisiones compartida y la resolución conjunta de problemas, utilizando habilidades de comunicación e interpersonales sólidas.
  4. Acceder a puertos para la extracción de muestras de laboratorio y preparación para infusiones, manteniendo los port-a-caths y limpiando puertos según sea necesario.
  5. Documentar toda la información relevante del paciente, incluyendo historial médico, datos de examen físico, plan de atención de enfermería e intervenciones, así como las respuestas del cliente en los registros médicos del paciente.
  6. Gestionar eficazmente las llamadas telefónicas de pacientes/familias y profesionales de la salud comunitarios para navegar por el sistema de atención médica.
  7. Proporcionar atención de enfermería holística para satisfacer las necesidades emocionales, psicológicas, informativas, espirituales y prácticas de los pacientes a lo largo del espectro de atención del cáncer.
  8. Actuar como guía proactiva para ayudar a los pacientes con cáncer a navegar por el complejo laberinto del tratamiento y atención del cáncer, empoderando al paciente y la familia mediante la provisión de información y educación.
  9. Utilizar prácticas basadas en evidencia (EBP) para facilitar los mejores resultados posibles para los pacientes, aplicando un conocimiento actual y habilidades de pensamiento crítico.
  10. Ser responsable de la toma de decisiones y acciones, manteniendo la competencia para facilitar los mejores resultados posibles para los pacientes.
  11. Modelar y mantener los Valores REACH (Respeto, Excelencia, Responsabilidad, Compasión, Honor).
  12. Demostrar asistencia regular, confiable y predecible.
  13. Realizar otras tareas según sea necesario.

Requisitos de Educación y Experiencia:

  • Título de Asociado en Enfermería.
  • Uno a dos (1-2) años de experiencia con sistemas de registros médicos electrónicos.
  • PREFERIDO: Título de Licenciatura en Enfermería (BSN).
  • PREFERIDO: Experiencia en oncología médica.

Conocimientos, Habilidades y Capacidades Mínimas:

·Conocimiento específico sobre el cáncer y experiencia clínica en atención oncológica.

·Demostrar los conocimientos y habilidades necesarias para proporcionar atención adecuada a la edad del paciente atendido.

·Habilidades en MS Excel y presentación.

Requisitos de Licencia, Registro o Certificación:

  • Licencia de Enfermera Registrada (RN) actual del estado.
  • Certificación en Soporte Vital Básico (BLS).
  • PREFERIDO: Certificación de la Corporación de Certificación de Enfermería Oncológica (ONCC) o lograrla dentro de los 24 meses posteriores a la contratación.
