Nuvance Health is a prominent healthcare provider with a comprehensive network of hospitals and outpatient facilities. We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. This role is essential in delivering high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing various cardiac procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to ensure continuity and quality of care for patients of all ages, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Provide specialized nursing care during Cardiac Catheterization, interventional, and electrophysiology (EP) procedures.
- Demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills to cater to the specific needs of patients based on their age and medical condition.
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Experience: Completion of the Nursing Department's orientation program. A minimum of two years of Critical Care experience is required, with one year of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory preferred.
Licensure: Current New York State Registered Nurse license is mandatory. BLS and ACLS certifications are also required.
Work EnvironmentThis position is classified as Per Diem with a flexible schedule. The working conditions include:
- Minimal manual skills required.
- Low potential for occupational hazards.
- Sedentary/light physical effort, with the ability to exert up to 10 lbs. of force.
- Generally pleasant working conditions.
