Job Overview

Available Shifts: Full-Time Day (8:00 AM - 8:30 PM), Part-Time Night (9:00 PM - 8:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be tasked with ensuring compliance with established nursing standards while providing comprehensive treatment care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring treatment services to prevent misuse or redundancy of services.
  • Consulting with the Health Services Administrator and Nurse Supervisor regarding any issues that arise.
  • Evaluating and recommending strategies to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assisting in the coordination and facilitation of monthly healthcare staff meetings as assigned.
  • Performing additional duties as directed by the Nurse Supervisor, Health Services Administrator, head nurse, or corporate personnel.
  • Maintaining precise records of all controlled substances, narcotics, and sharp instruments in compliance with relevant laws.
  • Providing health education and counseling to patients.
  • Conducting health assessments for inmate/patients and delivering provisional diagnoses and treatments for minor ailments as per established protocols.
  • Documenting and reporting symptoms, reactions, and progress of inmate/patients while contributing to the nursing care plan.
  • Implementing treatment plans aimed at promoting and restoring the health of inmate/patients.
  • Performing vital sign checks and comprehensive assessments at the start of each shift for all inmates/patients in the medical and mental health units.

This position includes a two-week orientation period for on-the-job training and shadowing experienced nursing staff.

Qualifications
